Beyond the Causeway

I was just reading an article from a friend in Singapore about the gloomy state of affairs of a once booming economy, Singapore's. The writer compared Singapore's seaport to being the Chicago O'Hare of freighters and supertankers during the time when world trade was booming. Nearly everything manufactured in Singapore is made for export and one out of every three workers is a foreigner.

Unfortunately, the current scenario is different. Thousands have been repatriated ranging from six-figure income financial wizards to Bangladeshi factory workers. Oh dear, what would they do with all those excess industrial equipment supplies they have on their hands. I suppose Malaysia could be in a similar situation.
