Improved Road Safety

Malaysian roads will soon be a lot safer with the installation of AES (not to be confused with AED).

The proposed Automated Enforcement System (AES) will involve the setting up of hundreds of cameras which will act as the “eyes” of policemen. The system will transmit to a control centre photographs and videos of motorists committing traffic offences. The centre will then issue the summonses.

The unmanned cameras will be located at 831 spots around the country.

  1. This will only be safer if the motorists are afraid of it right? :p
